The director general of Transport and Ports, Carmen Sandoval, accompanied by the mayor of Alhama de Murcia, José Swords, today attended the presentation of the Bicycle Master Plan of Alhama, which proposes the creation of a network of bike paths that connect the center urban setting with the shaft and the environment of West Industrial Park.

Carmen Sandoval said that "the Director of the Bicycle Plan is a basic planning tool that aims to promote cycling in the municipality, through an analysis of the mobility features of the city. The study reveals that 89 percent of the approximately 20,000 inhabitants of Alhama are concentrated in the urban core, so we designed a grid of cycle routes that will cover the main areas of mobility, taking into account the real needs of citizens. "
