This past Saturday, 19, was played in the Track of Athletics 'Monte Romero' of Murcia, the 'Championship of Clubs Benjamín, Alevín and Infantile of the Region of Murcia' organized by the Federation of Athletics of the Region of Murcia, with participation of Athletes of the Alhama Athletics Club in all categories.

In mixed youngest category, the Alhama Athletics Club team with a total of 55 points, finished in first position, proclaiming itself regional champion by clubs.

The Elcano Athletics Club with 43 points, occupied the second step of the podium, ahead of the Secondary Athletic Society, which closed the honor roll of this category with 37 points.

Likewise, the team of category mixed alevín, occupied the highest position of the podium, followed by Murcia Athletics Club and Club Athletics Elcano, second and third classified respectively.

The team from Alhama was proclaimed regional champion in its category with 84 points;

eight points above the second classified.

In children's category, great performance of the male and female teams, who were fighting for the championship throughout the day.

The women's team, being the majority of its members first-year athletes in the category, finished the competition in fifth place.

Likewise, the male team occupied the third position in the awards ceremony, but in the absence of a correction of existing errors in the final scores by the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, it will be proclaimed regional runner-up, since it can give the right to participate in the 'Championship of Spain by teams in children's category'.

Regional Combined Testing

After the competition for clubs, next week will be the turn of the 'Regional Championship of Combined Tests', which will also be held at the track 'Monte Romero' in Murcia on 26 and 27 May.

In the morning of Saturday the minors' tests will be developed, while the turn of the juvenile category forwards, will begin on Saturday afternoon and will continue during the day on Sunday.
