More than 160 people are trained to enter the labor world through the Labor project (04/06/2018)

A total of 168 people have participated during this course in the projects 'Labor: a step towards employability' and 'Labor 2.0: Youth Guarantee', which promotes the collective for the social promotion El Candil, and which closed this past Friday in the plenary hall of the municipality of Totana.

The managing director of the Murciano Institute of Social Action, Verónica López, the totanero mayor, Andrés García, the Mayor of Librilla, Mª del Mar Hernández, the councilor for Social Services of Alhama de Murcia, Felipe García, the councilor for employment in Mazarrón, Mª Ángeles Román, and the president of El Candil, Ginesa Rubio, were in charge of closing the programs held this year, in an event that also included many members of the Municipal Corporation of Totana.

During the closing the diplomas of thanks to the collaborating companies were given: Azurita System SL, English Brothers, Soltec Renewable Energies, Union of Small Farmers of the Region of Murcia (UPA-Murcia), Association La Almajara de Alhama, Cooperative Society Grimm's stories and collaborating institutions in both projects, as well as the professionals who have exercised their teaching during this time.

Afterwards, the diplomas were also delivered to the participants in the different training actions corresponding to the project 'Labor: a step towards employability', which is co-financed by 80% by the European Social Fund and 20% by the Murciano Institute of Action Social, while the project 'Labor 2.0: Youth Guarantee', is co-financed by the European Social Fund, through the Operational Youth Employment Program (2014-2020) and the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the City councils of Totana, Aledo, Alhama de Murcia, Librilla and Mazarrón.

During this last edition, the 'Labor' project has served more than 160 people, of which 97 have participated in training courses and 32 have done practical work in real work environments under the collaboration agreements to carry out internships subscribed the collaborating companies.

Similarly, 45 have obtained employment as employees and 42 labor intermediations have been recorded for the recruitment of participants in these programs in eight companies.

So far, there are more than 750 people who have participated in any of the different activities of the project, either in training actions or in work orientation actions.

These programs are intended to inform, train and guide unemployed people on aspects related to the world of work, whose initiative aims to promote the process of job placement of those who actively seek a change in their unemployment situation.

These resources are focused on personalized orientation, the design of individualized insertion itineraries and which is complemented by specific training workshops that address the characteristics and needs of users, training them to favor their position in the labor market, promoting both access to a job as your maintenance.
