Criminal offenses fell by 5% in Alhama de Murcia in the first five months of 2018 in relation to the same period last year, according to data provided this morning by the government delegate, Diego Conesa, who, together with his mayor, Mariola Guevara, has chaired the local board of security of the town

"It is a significant figure, especially if we take into account that last year the crimes already registered a decrease of 20% in relation to 2016", assessed the Delegate, who, despite these positive data, has insisted on the need to continue reinforcing the excellent collaboration and cooperation between the Civil Guard and the Local Police.

Thus, the delegate of the Government has announced new measures to improve citizen security in certain districts and the commitment to enhance the exchange of information through computer applications in matters of interest to both administrations, as is the case of gender violence.

Diego Conesa has confirmed the addition of four new Guardia Civil agents to the local barracks as part of his training period and awaiting his arrival, joining four other recently incorporated officers.

to complete a template that guarantees the security needs of Alhama and its districts.

"Alhama is one of the least vacancies Civil Guard available at the regional level, but these new troops will strengthen the service during this period and we hope so in successive years," concluded the delegate.
