This morning the Councilor for Sports, Rosa S醤chez, presented the Espubike Challenge Race 2019, along with the president of the Tourism Sponge Association, Andr閟 Garc韆, the test director and manager of the Terra Sport Cycling Sports Association, Antonio Rodr韌uez, and the acting pediatric mayor of Gebas, Manuel Gamb韓.
It is a test of resistance and orientation in off-road bicycle (MTB), an ultramarathon.
The competition will be held on September 14, 2019 in a single stage of approximately 130 km.
and 3,400 m of positive slope.
The departure and arrival will be in Gebas (Alhama de Murcia) and its development follows much of the itinerary, within the Natural Park of Sierra Espu馻, being one of its main objectives to enjoy and know its natural and historical spaces through the world of Mountain Bike , passing through the municipal terms of Alhama de Murcia, Pliego, Mula, Aledo and Totana in the province of Murcia.
The Espubike Challenge Race is organized by the Terra Sport Cycling Sports Club, in collaboration with the Association of Business Tourism Espu馻 and the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia.
As the main novelty this year, the ultra marathon is a regional championship, and a shorter 78 km race will be held, more accessible to the user who practices mountain biking.
The test is open to cyclists with a federal RFEC license, in force in its category.
Runners who do not have a license will have to subscribe a one-day license, with the corresponding increase in the registration fee, and will be assigned the category of cyclist.
The maximum number of runners will be 300 whose distribution is:
路 200 participants for the individual modality.
路 100 participants for couples and teams.
Minimum age to participate: 19 years.

路 By Teams: formed by a minimum of 3 runners and a maximum of 5 runners, which can be of different categories and sexes.

Registrations will be made through the platform of the company responsible for timing, CRONOMUR, on the web: www.cronomur.com section REGISTRATIONS until 24:00 hours on Sunday, September 8, 2018 or when completing 300 places
The assigned bibs may be removed on Friday, September 13 at the Casa de la Cultura de Gebas, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Subsequent to this deadline, registrations will not be accepted, except in those cases where any incident is detected in its processing and is transferred to the organization for resolution.
Brieffing: Friday, September 13, at 7:00 p.m., at the Gebas House of Culture.
The GPS tracks that will be delivered to each runner include all the details of the stages with the description of the route, kilometer points, profile with altimetry indication, departure and arrival points.

Rosa S醤chez has pointed out that "it is a test that turns to the sports programming of the places we have in the Sierra Espu馻 region, at the same time that it has a notable tourist impact".
Andr閟 Garc韆 has indicated that, in addition to this event, 鈥淓spu馻 Tur韘tica promotes tourism through Espusendas (walking tours of the environment with the promotion of climbing), Espuaves (promoting nature as a whole, specifically with the surrounding birds ), Esputrek, (same development as the Espubike but with a 6-stage route between 20 and 25 km). 鈥
