This road underwent a remodeling in March 2015 to turn it into a single platform, with an investment of 160,000 euros, with the aim of pedestrianizing it.
Finally, it was left open to traffic, and the continuous passage of vehicles has caused the gravel base under the paving stones of the road to break down.
This, in turn, has generated a series of subsidence, with problems for road traffic, as well as noise and the risk of falls.
In March of last year an emergency repair of the most deteriorated areas was carried out.
The repair will consist of replacing the central pavers with asphalt agglomerate, maintaining the current sidewalks and the unique platform.
The start of the works has been coordinated through the Department of Infrastructure and Public Services to coincide with the opening of Cartagena Avenue.
The duration of the works is estimated at two weeks, at that time the street traffic will remain cut, guaranteeing access (entry and exit) to the vehicles of the garages outside the day, from 19:00 hours to 8 : 00 hours the next day.
The amount of adjudication of the works is 30,162.86 euros VAT included.
