The General Directorate of Public Health and Addictions has sent to this City Hall the results of the investigation of the outbreak of food poisoning in the dining room of a local school.
With the aim of reassuring the population, the causes of this episode, which took place in mid-December and affected many children, are revealed.
According to the report, it was a salmonella enterica subspecies enteric subspecies enteriditis, related to the dining room and probably carried by one or more food not analyzed and consumed, more likely on December 15, although it is not ruled out that there was some Food contaminated the day before.
Both the Directorate General of Public Health and the City of Alhama de Murcia, through its Department of Health, have been in permanent contact and have taken new measures to prevent this episode from being repeated.
