The Councilor for Hospitality, Nani Navarro, has presented the third edition of 'Alhama de Tapas y Cócteles', which will take place on weekends from November 10 to 19, 2017. This edition includes 16 local hoteliers, 12 of them with tapas and four others with cocktails.

Customers can enjoy a tapa plus a drink or a cocktail in each of the participating locations at the price of â‚¬ 2.50.

In addition, as in previous years, they will be able to assess which is their top and their favorite cocktail, voting through the cards that they will find in all the bars and restaurants that participate.

The assessment will be scored from 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest rating and 5 being the highest.

The prizes that can be chosen are:

1st prize: iPhone 8.

2nd and 3rd prize: batch with a ham, a cheese, a ham knife plus a shawl (sharpener) and a bottle of wine.

In addition to the popular vote, the contest will have a jury of experts who will also issue their verdict and who will join the customer's score to decide which was the best tapa and the best cocktail in this edition.

The duly stamped and completed cards will be deposited in the polls located in the participating establishments, in the Tourist Office and in the Training and Employment Center.

In participating establishments until November 19, inclusive.

At the Training and Employment Center and at the Tourist Office, the delivery of sealed cards will be accepted until Tuesday, November 21 at the closing time.

The prize draw will be held on Wednesday, November 22 at 12.00 at the City Hall and the awards ceremony on Thursday, November 23 at 20.30 in the premises of the winning tapa.

Once the draw has been made, the winners will be called by telephone and will be summoned to collect the prize the next day.

One of the great novelties of this year is a small train that will circulate continuously throughout the municipality, making stops in different areas, the first one at the railway station.

It is a means to go to all the locals and enjoy their tapas and cocktails.

In addition, this year a space of conviviality and fun for the children will be taken again, which will be located in the auditorium and will have the animation company Animunis, which will have various activities and games prepared.

José Ángel Martín, head of the Abbey, thanked on behalf of the innkeepers to the City Council and collaborators the organization of 'Alhama de Tapas y Cócteles 2017', at the same time that has encouraged the residents of the entire region to visit Alhama and enjoy of the dishes and drinks that have been prepared for the occasion.
