The Local Police approaches the neighbors on their employer's day (18/12/2017)

This Sunday was celebrated the day of San Lazaro, patron of the Local Police of Alhama de Murcia.

A day with different scheduled activities, in which the little ones could enjoy from the early afternoon of the presence of Chase, one of the animated characters of PAW Patrol (The Patrol Dog), with whom they had the opportunity to take pictures in front of to the church of San Lázaro.

At this same point there was an exhibition of vehicles and police material, so that children and adults could learn more about the work of the agents and the elements they use in their day to day.

At 7:00 p.m. there was the mass and offering to the patron in the church of San Lazaro.

At the end, the agents posed for a family photo in the atrium and the Band of the Alhama Musical Group joined the ceremony to perform the National Anthem and the Song to Alhama.

The delegation then moved to the El Pósito building, to the music of pasodobles, where they had prepared a wine of honor for the agents and their families.

The Local Police councilor, Felipe García, intervened to review the projects and improvements that have been launched within the Corps throughout this term, among which the acquisition of new work tools, training and other labor improvements

He also announced some initiatives that will be implemented in the coming months, such as the provision of the 112 service from the central office itself, broadening the services of mediation and attention to the neighbor, or new investments in the improvement of traffic management and security.

García welcomed the new Chief Officer, José Alfonso Toral, highlighting his arrival as an occasion to demonstrate the true potential of the Local Police.

"Let's all bet on the work well done, for the renewed hope and we will give us the final opportunity, that is my wish and I am convinced that yours is also", he concluded.

The new officer, who joined the past October 1, wanted to highlight the work of the agents "with involvement and dedication, at levels that any of the police with whom I have served in Madrid would like to have as partners in which to deposit the confidence of their own security before the numerous risks that we face ".

Toral added that Alhama de Murcia has one of the lowest delinquency rates in the region "thanks to the work developed by local police professionals, along with the rest of the municipal security forces."

On the other hand, councilor Mariola Guevara highlighted this day as a date "that allows us to know the great work of the Local Police of Alhama".

Guevara transferred his respect and admiration "for the work, daily effort and public service that you provide daily to our neighbors."

Other activities scheduled by the Local Police boss

The students of the Alhama schools visited last week the Local Police facilities, within the days of open doors, framed within the activities for the day of San Lazaro.

The visits were accompanied by an informative talk, in addition to meeting the police dog and its coordinator, from the company Thaidogtrainers.

At the end of the visit the agents gave them a personalized card and a gift.

On Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of December, a fun-sporting conference was held, programmed by the agents themselves, which includes a series of hiking routes.
