The area of ​​Parks and Gardens of the Department of Infrastructure and Public Services of the City of Alhama de Murcia has awarded the contract for cleaning, maintenance and maintenance of green areas and urban trees to the commercial STV Gestión SL, after assessing and classifying up to a total of nine offers submitted.
The agreement, which has entered into force on January 1, 2018, has been signed for three years, plus one that can be extended if the parties agree to it.
The contract establishes a second phase to extend up to a fortnight more parks, gardens, medians and green areas, which currently manages the company of solid urban waste collection and street cleaning.
The company STV will be responsible for the maintenance and management of 84,605 ​​m2 distributed in 51 spaces, plus the green areas of the six public schools and the street alignment tree, with 1,580 units.
It will also deal with specimens of singular or special interest trees and ornamental fountains.
Specifically, it will take care of the following services:
Irrigation
Fertilizers and amendments
Interweaving and weeding
Pruning and trimming
Woodland security
Phytosanitary treatments
Replenishment and new plantings
Maintenance of lawns
Maintenance of canine recreation areas
Maintenance of the irrigation network, sources and hydrants
Cleaning the drainage network
Maintenance of leisure equipment, street furniture and playground equipment
Cleaning of green spaces
Maintenance of artificial turf surfaces
Waste management
Integral pest management
The company will carry out the landscaping of new green areas, such as the garden of La Boquera and the garden of Santa Bárbara, from where the old propane gas tanks were removed last June.
In addition improvements will be made in the supply and planting / installation of vegetation and irrigation material.
It is also going to proceed to the removal of bottle remains during all weekends and holidays of the year of all green areas.
The new service will take into account environmental criteria, such as the use of ecological products, electric vehicles for the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions (greenhouse gases), as well as the use of auxiliary machinery, mainly electric, routed to be as respectful as possible with the environment and with a lower sound level.
The company STV will certify before the end of the contract, and as an environmental measure of the service, the registration in the Carbon Footprint Registry, compensation and CO2 absorption projects of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment (MAPAMA).
Regarding social aspects, integration programs will be applied, consisting of the training of people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.
These workers can be hired with the company to cover the bag of hours collected in the agreement.
