Alhama City Council protects its neighbors while protecting our natural environment.

In this framework, this morning was moved a dead tree was nested within which a beautiful species, the owl, nocturnal predator of small dimensions.

En route to the Golden Vase, one of the trees lining the sidewalk, in the hollow of the trunk dry the bird had nested, protecting their offspring, had been attacked on several occasions to pedestrians.

In order to prevent attacks and, in turn, protect the species, the Department of Environment of the City Council decided to cut the dead tree and remove to a place so close to continue to serve as habitat for the owl.

The adjoining land owner, Jose Carreno, readily accepted that the tree was placed on his property.

Through the collaboration of the neighbor, the City could cut the tree and place it in the hope that the owl continues to play in our land.

Note that, currently, there is hardly dead trees that are used by species like to nest above.

The dead tree trunk end up being hollow and is used by many species for nesting.

Until last week, was referred to the case of the tree where it had nested for the second consecutive year this predator that feeds mainly on small rodents.

Last week saw the tawny owl chick who had already left the nest and was captured to ensure their survival and transferred to the Rehabilitation Center of El Valle.

Once a month or so, when and to ensure their survival, the bird of the family of owls will be released.

Just when it was found that the tree was empty, he proceeded to his transfer.
