Twelve students receive their diplomas Course Strategies for Personal Autonomy and Social Skills Development and Labour (22/02/2012)

Last Friday was closed by the Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Morales Ceron and the mayor of Social Welfare, Maria Carmen Diaz during Strategies for Personal Autonomy and Social Skills Development and Labour.

The course has been initiated and monitored from the Social Welfare Department who, in the words of the mayor, is developing a commendable activity designed to benefit the neediest sectors of society alhameña.

Also, the mayor congratulated the students and encouraged them to implement what they learned.

As pointed out by the Councillor for Social Welfare, among the citizens served from the Municipal Center of Social Services, specifically from the Social Inclusion Programme, a number of suitable persons to carry out a training program on Strategies for Personal Autonomy and Social Skills Development and Labour.

Diaz clarified that the project is included in the training activities to encourage the personal promotion and facilitate social integration and employment of its components.

The course is intended to equip participants with the skills and basic social skills and their subsequent access to the workplace.

In that course content have been addressed as relationship skills, speech, knowledge, conflict resolution, self esteem and job search skills, health education, expansion of literacy and educational support, etc..

The course lasted 146 hours, doing it in sessions of 4 hours daily, Monday through Friday, from 9.30 to 13.30, always seeking to facilitate the reconciliation of students with family life.

It has involved a total of 12 students who have shown their satisfaction with the training suing new shares the same profile.

Students have carried out several activities on the labor market such as a guided tour of the SEF, where they could see first hand all the services and activities offered.

They have also undertaken other activities aimed at the knowledge of our culture and society and were in the city of Murcia on a guided tour.
