From May 25 to June 12 takes place in Alhama Campaign on Prevention of Colorectal Cancer (24/05/2012)

Once again, the Health Service of Murcia has launched the campaign for colon cancer prevention.

Ana Fernandez, Councillor of Health, accompanied by Fran Lavela, coordinator of the Health Center and Charo Alhama de la Rosa, president of the AECC of Alhama, noted that the campaign is planned for residents between 50 and 69 years of age, men and women.

Starting on 25 May and extended until June 12.

People in this age group have already received a letter inviting them to pass the review and explains what to do.

Lavela highlighted the importance of the review, which will save lives and safety testing for possible effects.

He explained that although these tests are positive, it means that you have colon cancer, but other tests are prescribed which detect any anomalies that can be corrected.

Meanwhile, Cheryl de la Rosa said that all people between the age mentioned sector can go to a health center, by appointment, to be tested for prevention.
