The City Council of Alhama de Murcia, through the Sports Department organizes, every year during the holidays, Alhama Urban Mile Fair.
Lola Cánovas, Councillor for Sports, stressed that next Friday October 19 from six in the evening, there will be the sixth edition of the popular competition that is intended to promote physical activity and healthy habits.
The mayor clarified that the test has provided a shareholding of between 600 and 700 runners taking into account data from previous editions.
It further announced that the race will be held this year in collaboration with the Department of Health so that designs can read the slogan "No drugs" as an activity included in the Municipal Plan for Drug Dependency.
Participants will be from children ages 6 to adults of any age, divided into 8 categories: prebenjamín, baby, juvenile, child, cadet, junior, senior and veterans.
Cánovas reminded that entries are open in the Sports Department until Thursday at noon, but they must sign up to an hour before the race in the Constitution Square, where it will set the goal line and the registration tables .
Moreover, to facilitate the participation of children from Alhama, which is planned to enroll in the school itself.
The track where the races will be developed with the common goal in the Avenida de la Constitucion.
As for the awards, the mayor has said that trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category, both men and women.
All participants will receive a t-shirt.
