On the 25th of November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the City Council of Alhama de Murcia, through the Office of Women in collaboration with the Advisory Council on Women, commemorates this day with various social awareness campaigns.
Lola Cánovas, responsible for the area, has announced the foundation of one of the calls that take place on that date.
This is the call of the IX Poster Contest "without discrimination, without violence and on equal terms."
The aim of the competition, as explained by the mayor, is to raise awareness of equal opportunities between women and men and gender violence, so all submissions must be about that topic.
The foundations will be posted on the bulletin board of City Hall and on the municipal website.
The deadline for submitting posters concludes on November 12 at 12 pm and are due in the Business Incubator for Women.
The mayor has taken the opportunity to recall that the municipality has the service of CAVI (Centre Services for Women Victims of Violence), with which it contributes to the complete rehabilitation of women victims of violence.
Moreover, the mayor has advanced to the activities that the Department of Women is preparing will be submitted soon, even encouraged everyone to participate in the march that will leave the business incubator on 23 November.
