The Tourist Services Association urges President Espuña be regional Local Action Group to solicit European aid (08/11/2012)

This morning, the five mayors of the municipalities of the Commonwealth Tourism Services Espuña (Aledo, Alhama, Mula, Pliego and Totana) have been received by the regional president, Ramón Luis Valcárcel.

The purpose of the interview was presented to the Executive Chairman of Murciano a series of proposals that aim to promote tourism in the Espuña Regional Park and in the five municipalities linked to it.

Knowing that, at present, the economic resources are scarce, mayors, chaired by the mayor alhameño, Cerón Fernando Alfonso Morales, has proposed forming their own Local Action Group, a body required to access European funds.

At present, the five municipalities are encompassed in a body in which these features are also integrated Northwest municipalities in the region.

The end of the Commonwealth Tourism Espuña is to form a body by themselves, allowing them to directly manage the potential funds arriving from Europe through the Leader program for the years 2014 to 2020.

Moreover, to the mayors of the municipalities Espuña support is critical regional president presidents since the Committee of the Regions.

Tourist Projects Commonwealth Espuña

Among the projects they're working the Commonwealth included the promotion of hunting through aoudad hunting, the horse ride through the park, practicing mountank bike or hiking trails.

Furthermore, the Commonwealth wants to promote not only the park, but also spread the culture and cuisine of the five boroughs.

European Charter

Moreover, the Commonwealth Tourism Espuña is immersed in the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas.

It is an initiative of the Federation EUROPARC whose overall objective to promote the development of tourism in a sustainable protected areas in Europe.

This entails a method and a voluntary commitment to implement the principles of sustainable tourism, guiding the managers of protected natural areas and businesses to define their strategies investee.

This stamp would get financial resources from European funds and programs for the implementation of projects related to rural tourism and the environment, and that serve to enhance the development of the towns and the natural environment Espuña.
