In June hosts the II National Amateur Theatre Contest to be held on 14, 15, 21 and 28.
Carmen Maria Rodriguez, Councillor for Culture and Heritage, accompanied by José María Cánovas Vera, jury member and theater director with extensive experience recognized with numerous awards, presented the week noting that the contest were presented 44 companies from different parts of Spanish geography as Malaga, Madrid, Sevilla, Almería, Ciudad Real, Cadiz, Murcia, Valencia, Granada, Segovia, Caceres, Alicante, Lleida, Logroño and Jaen.
The mayor has made it clear that after the arduous task of watching all the works that have applied to participate were selected for the contest 3 of them, which shall depict the following days:
Friday, 14 June.
Time: 21:00 pm.
Work: "In a nutshell".
Company: The Mirror Speaker Jaen.
Saturday 15 June.
Time: 21:00 pm.
Artwork: "Open Couple".
Company: Assoc Teatrefugio of Malaga.
Friday, June 21.
Time: 21:00 pm.
Artwork: "Rhythms on canvas".
Company Percuseve of Murcia.
The theater specialist and member of the jury, stated that, through the representations selected, it will be able to enjoy all kinds of theater, through the representation without words "In short", to the staging of through music and percussion with "Rhythms on canvas".
The mayor noted that Friday the 28th will be the II Awards contest, before the premiere of the new play by award winning local group Theatre Auger "The Fan" by Carlo Goldoni.
As is usually full capacity for representations of Auger, has scheduled the following day another representation, Saturday at 21.00.
Admission to any of the works is free, but must be removed Invitation Archaeological Museum of Los Banos for representing Auger.
The awards, which will have a small amount of finance and a trophy will be: Best Work, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Audience Award
