The government team expresses its sympathy for the family organic gardens (11/09/2015)

"The City Council will support the continuation of organic gardens Family. It is an important municipal project launched by the former corporation and that we will continue firmly committed".

With these words received the Mayor of Alhama, Diego Conesa, to those attending the meeting on Wednesday 9 in the plenary hall of the City parcelistas.

After a brief greeting addressed to all attendees, Councillor for Environment, Antonio Garcia, then presented to the rest of councilors of the government team present at that time: Education and Health, Citizen and Consumer Affairs, Public Safety, Civil Protection and Social Services and Sports and Civic Participation.

In addition, emphasis was placed on the importance of the environmental aspect of this initiative, emphasizing the importance that the orchards and the whole project is the practice of organic farming.

The meeting served not only to give an overview of the most important rules governing the operation of facilities, such as control of water consumption, waste generation or good care of each plot and common spaces.

At the meeting the Councillor for Environment also reported on the intention to undertake during 2016 the projects to supply irrigation water to the plots of Diversion and upcoming activities to be performed: a day of cleaning of common spaces and party Harvest 2015. In this regard, members of the Association, currently in charge of technical assistance in the gardens, The hotbed called on all participants in the cleanup day Saturday September 12 and outlined the schedule for the party Harvest, convened for Sunday 20. They also announced that the next course to be taught will be about the development of organic manure as a phytosanitary treatment.

During the meeting several parcelistas intervened to raise their concerns on various issues related to the proper use of the plots, the need to expand the training activities on organic farming, making compost with organic waste for each crop, improving some accesses or the possibility of installing lighting in the playground.

The Mayor closed the ceremony highlighting that this project, although born of the City, maintains and evolves thanks to the commitment of all users.
