Yesterday was held our traditional procession of La Candelaria, where more than a thousand pilgrims accompanied the Virgin in procession to "El Collao".
This year the Pilgrimage of Candelaria has aroused great media interest, since along with the local media, from the capital, television and newspapers were transferred to cover the event.
Television cameras, photographers, reporters and presenters, we made a whole array to cover the event in detail, making the Pilgrimage of La Candelaria in more media than ever.
After the religious ceremony, it marked the start of pilgrimage.
La Candelaria, carried by members of the Brotherhood and accompanied by "Aires de Espuña" and "Musicians Workshop Sonata" bands, began its journey from San Lazaro to the Hermitage of La Candelaria.
The route started by the slide reaching La Concepción, where they joined the procession many alhameños in this first stop.
On the climb to the "Collao" several stops where the pilgrims besides rest and recuperate, food and drink tasted neighbors were pleased to offer they were made.
La Candelaria was received at the Collao with "live, applause and trascas rocket".
After arriving at the Hermitage she was officiated a mass Candada by the "Friends of the Night".
Completed, the pilgrims installed in the bush, enjoyed a day of coexistence, where he did not miss any food or drink, as there was also a giant paella for all residents as well as a bouncy castle for the enjoyment of the smallest .
