Councillor for Culture, Alicia Martinez, presented the news on the motion for the fulfillment of the Law of Historical Memory in our town, by IU-Greens in the city last October 27 and approved unanimously this morning.

Representatives of the local political groups agreed Wednesday to launch the following points:

Establish a commission of historians qualified to participate in the study and evaluation of the symbols of any kind that violate the Law of Historical Memory in Alhama de Murcia.

In that committee may participate, as appropriate, subject specialists or professors at the University of Murcia, if deemed appropriate.

Appoint and as a member of the Commission to the official José Serrano Bathrooms, historian and official chronicler of the Villa de Alhama.

Agreement to transfer all municipal groups if historians consider designating that might form part of the Commission.

Give public awareness of the creation of this Commission to all interested neighbors can provide documentation on the subject.

This will be studied and assessed in the meeting Commission.

The deadline to be part of this Commission of Historians today fixed February 3rd until the 18th of this month, the date of the Information Committee on Culture which will be incorporated in the final formation of the people who make up that committee.

The opinion of this Committee will be issued in a maximum period of two months from the date of the final training (February 18, 2016).

Authorize the mayor as required for the implementation of these agreements.

The Councillor explained that this commission will determine whether there are monuments and streets that violate the Act.

Here each group may propose to a person skilled in history, detached from politics, to do the work of the technical and professional as possible.

Also he invited any resident interested in joining the committee (title holder historian or history) to do so by written request by request at City Hall.
