Supported by the City Council, the Friends of the Saharawi people started a campaign to collect food (21/04/2008)

The Friends of the Saharawi people has launched a campaign to collect food for over 350,000 inhabitants of the Sahara to live off international aid.

The councilman of Social Policy, Fina García, along with the president of the Association of Friends of the Saharawi people, María Dolores García Cánovas and Luciana, a member of the same association, reported that from tomorrow until May 22 in the Market Square will open a post to collect food.

In particular, demand for tuna, and vegetable oil as a national campaign and each province was responsible for a type of food.

Every day from 10.00 to 12.00 am on mentioned as the market hall will be open for collection of such foods.

On the other hand, residents who wish, may also help financially with a contribution to the account of the association in Cajamurcia.

The purpose of this program is to give children an opportunity to improve their health and that due to the conditions in which they live, suffer food shortages which cause various problems in their development.
