The director general of Tourism, Angel Campos, yesterday presided over ceremony of diplomas in recognition of its commitment to continuous improvement of the Spanish Tourism Quality in destinations where they have been awarded 5 destinations, 12 municipalities and 112 companies and entities Region of Murcia.

The session was attended by the Councillor for Tourism, Maria Elena Marín, accompanied by the mayor of Women, Soledad Tudela on behalf of the mayor, Juan Romero Canovas.

Indeed, it was Maria Elena Marín who delivered the diploma to trade in the town, "Ventura-ins", which received the Spanish Tourism Quality in destinations within Espuña destination.

Another local business, "Optics Alcon, received accreditation if its leaders did not attend the event.

During the meeting, attended by mayors and councilors from Abarán, Alhama de Murcia, Archena, Blanca, Calasparra, Caravaca, Cehegín, Lorca, Moratalla, Mula, Murcia and Totana, the CEO praised the motivation and effort demonstrated by the managers and entrepreneurs of destinations winners and thanked them for the rigor with which they have driven the development of tourism in their respective areas.

Likewise, Angel Campos found that "mutual collaboration of all stakeholders of the destination and ongoing commitment to contribute to tourist satisfaction are the best weapons to enhance the image of the Region of Murcia as a destination for quality, inside and outside our borders. "

The Integrated System of Spanish Tourism Quality SICTED is a project that promotes a region as a whole and that is objects that tourists perceive a uniform level of quality in the different elements and actors that make up the tourism in the Region Murcia.

This project involves, first, the segments already developed within the Spanish Tourism Quality System eligible for the Q for quality, such as hotels, restaurants, tourism offices and convention.

In addition, it also welcomes new sub-brand which is Tourist Quality Commitment and not governed by the same parameters as the Q: small stores, car rental, tourist guides, taxis, artisans, sports companies and leisure professional congress organizers, museums, public transport, cleaning and security, among others.
