The City of Alhama de Murcia, through the Municipal Library moved a selection of books to the site of the swimming pools, advocacy and dissemination of reading framed within the program that, over the years, organized various activities library extension in order to facilitate the book closer to readers and users.

In 2008 from July 14, a canopy on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 17:00 to 19:00 hours in the pool Guadalentín Polideportivo Municipal.

Municipal Library a selection of books for all ages for all ages and all sectors of the population moving into the precincts of the swimming pools, in an effort to bring books and promote the enjoyment of reading Child readers / juveniles and adults during the summer, reaching daily visit pools in the summer of 2007 about 700 readings.

This year, like its predecessor, the selection of books serves our social reality of cultural diversity, affecting this year of the 2008 European Year of International Dialogue by decision of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.

It is a fact in our library, where each day we receive new members from other countries and for which we have bilingual books and stories in Spanish and Arabic to those who come to our Library and in this case, we believe interest them out into the street, pool, because usually participate in this activity.

As a complementary alternative to the toilet, the library offers, in addition to books, mainly current novellas, stories, comics and poetry, even the newspapers El Pais, La Verdad, Brand and Local Line, and magazines as Very Interesting, Geo, Computer Today and National Geographic.

Also selected for children between 200 and 250 titles that span the literary theme, and include crafts, nature, comics, etc..
