Alhama City Council has acquired a grant for the Employment and Training Service SEF for the Workshop on Employment Called "Cerro del Castillo" which amounts to the amount of 490,550.40 Euros.
Employment Councilman Jose Lopez Nuñez said that this workshop will cover 24 students of which are distributed in workshop 8 Banks, 8 Assistant archeology workshop and 8 in the paint shop.
The new action and gives the name of this workshop is to assist in archeology, it will focus its work on the Cerro del Castillo north sector development in cleaning the site, conducting tastings, exploration and excavation areas interest and manual removal of archaeological remains, packaging and transport to emergency restoration, parts and restoration log and also it will make the maintenance of the path of Castillo.
Workshop by the masonry, as well as performances in buildings and public facilities, the priority work focuses on strengthening and repair of wall structure on the hill of the Castle, and implementation of drains in the walls excavated.
The Painting Workshop will be held providing maintenance for buildings such as City Hall, The Granary, The Garden of Calvary Chapel, Garden of the Martyrs, The Center for the 3 rd age and Guadalentín Athletics track.
The objectives of the Workshop on Employment in addition to the above that lead to the benefit of all alhameños have a priority to provide training both theoretical and practical trades that are offered, this training is very important to get a job work in the chosen activity for both recruitment businesses and self-employment.
As a review of the current workshop is running in which there are 24 students divided into three workshops (bricklaying, painting and gardening), highlights the most significant measures that have been made and are being implemented:
1) Expansion with new annexe of the Occupational Center of Salinas.
2) Closing of the steps of the complex Guadalentín.
3) Painting at the Center for Adult Education in the hall of the House of Culture in the Library, on the football field, the Club of the 3 rd age in the Health Center at the Pergola of the Plaza of the Constitution and the Colegio Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
4) Maintenance of green spaces in the Parque Industrial Las Salinas, in the Garden Manuel del Pino, in the Garden of Ral and the Rambillas Garden.
The mayor pointed out that since the council of Employment optimize possibilities offered employment workshops for the implementation of works and actions that are needed in our town and whose cost is minimized by grants from the Autonomous Community, and also professionally prepares unemployed to improve their job prospects.
