The City Council initially approved Alhama Infrastructure Plan (17/10/2008)

Through a decree by the mayor, the city of Alhama has initially approved the Special Infrastructure Plan de Alhama which will ensure the development of future residential urban development under the provisions of the PGMO.

In all realized this morning at a press conference, the mayor of Urban José Espadas, who clarified that this does not mean that time has been approved in any new development, and what it is to provide both infrastructure services and supplies and the budgets that will be needed in that area of our municipal area.

Swords clarified that, what was intended was that before embarking on planning N o remain fully defined infrastructure needs that this would be necessary.

The Infrastructure Plan is created as to secure the services of the future population residing in the tourist resorts of the south of Alhama which once could be developed in accordance with the provisions of General Municipal Management Plan.

Is solved with the said Plan, to actions in roads, water supply and sanitation, energy, communications, etc.

Besides the above, the Plan provides for the creation of a civic center that would house the administrative offices Molata as a municipal building, a local police headquarters, Health as a Centre of Health and Infant School Teachers, Primary School Institute of High and recreational areas for leisure and sports, valued at more than 7 million euros.

In addition, the plan established within or future actions, allocations based on the number of hectares of each of the developments.

On the one hand there are areas of 200 hectares, which will dispose of plot of buses, municipal building, 300 square meter kit, pharmacy, and sports areas for a total of 2% and 1% sector of construction, the sector to the mall.

Moreover, the sectors that exceed 200 hectares, in addition to the above will have to have a residence for the elderly, a clinic with emergency service 24 hours, a doctor and a pharmacy.

As it would make little sense to require the construction of buildings dotacionales until there is no reasonable people who can use them, and to gauge the public services that currently exist in our town for residents in these areas until they are built of The Center Molata, shall be allocated an amount which in principle amounts to more than 5 million, to bring the schools, health centers, sports facilities, etc.,

In short, the approach adopted by the Corporation has been to avoid the 'planning on demand ", ie classify the soil to suit the owner, and have provided this type of residential activities in a particular area of our municipality, close together, which makes them more sustainable, and in an area that also had no significant interest, agricultural, environmental, etc.

The Plan is designed for an area of approximately 12.5 million square meters in an area of approximately 100 million, which is expected of it, and completed in full, would be a population of about forty thousand inhabitants and until year 2033.

In an evident fact that in the current situation of economic slowdown, affecting mainly the construction, the City Council continues to have the interest and confidence of the promoters, which are themselves the wisdom to move us to define necessary infrastructure before housing.

The Special Infrastructure Plan will be exposed one month after it is published in the BORM before it goes to the plenary for final approval.
