Council starts the process to build 60 homes on two lots VPO New Espuña (22/10/2008)

The City of Alhama de Murcia has initiated the procedure for the sale of two lots to build 60 subsidized housing (VPO).

This was announced this morning the mayor of Town Planning, José Espadas, who explained that the City has divided a parcel of property, in two independent and equal to 865.50 meters square each.

The division of the plot intended to proceed with a better management of municipal land and allow the current real estate market is able to absorb and channel the demand for future purchasers of VPO, being smaller plots, the lowest price and therefore more accessible to developers in the area who might be interested in its acquisition and housing development on Public Advocacy.

Swords noted that this initiative serves two purposes: to provide housing alhameños with fewer economic resources and activate the local economy.

Indeed, in the latter case, Urban has been sent to all local builders a letter inviting them to participate in the bidding process works.

This aims at the development to be the municipality or, at least in the region.

In line with this initiative, the owner of Urban stated that any builder of the town may apply to the Consistory.

Swords emphasized that these plots are located in the Partial Plan "New Espuña", one of the most important new areas of the municipality, which shows the interest of the government team because such homes are located in good places.

Both plots have built a roof surface, in addition to parking spaces, of 2,711 square meters which means three floors and penthouses set back.

In the end, on each lot will be built about thirty houses.

Finally, the Town Planning explained that once the process for awarding the work, will begin the process of housing allocation.

It will be then when will all the information for the application for housing.

In this regard, the mayor has advanced to reward those who are alhameños and take longer living in the city, rejecting the requests of those who take less than two years living in Alhama.
