The City Council launches Consumer Arbitration System (12/11/2008)

The City of Alhama de Murcia has introduced a new Consumer Arbitration System, for which the council of Consumer Affairs, Jose Miguel Muñoz Andreo, accompanied by Roberto Vivancos Barcelo, president of FACUA CONSUMUR (Murcia Association of Consumers and Users) and Carballo Orozco Worship , area director of Legal Services Association, have made this morning a statement informing the new service.

The City along with FACUA CONSUMUR signed an agreement to strengthen the Consumer Municipal Office (OMIC), therefore is to implement the Consumer Arbitration System in the town, this is a tool to resolve consumer complaints and users from employers and / or professional, through an extrajudicial mechanism, simple, fast and inexpensively.

It is aimed at business premises of the municipality who are adhering to the consumer arbitration system is an element of trust and quality to boost local trade and informs consumers and users.

To do this we will visit local businesses reporting of this system security that it offers and settle claims that may exist to users and consumers.

This system ensures better protection of consumer rights and / or users and encourages employers to make quality and attention, one of his tools.

Towards employers have two additional advantages, one of them is that this system improve its image and another is that it ensures consumers that any conflict will be resolved easily, avoiding judicial saving cost and time that this implies.
