Through this letter, Ángel Cánovas Herrera, on behalf of Democratic Union of the Region of Murcia, Juan Romero García, on behalf of the United Left-Greens, and Sebastian Moreno Martínez, on behalf of the Democratic Centre Liberal-Working Group, as spokespersons for local groups are currently represented in our City, we raised for discussion and approval for the full month of January, the following motion:
Motion: APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO IMPROVE THE SIGN OF THE HIGHWAY RM-23 IN BOTH DIRECTIONS
Whereas the highway called RM-23 is a splitting of the old road MU-603 on the motorway section between RM-2 (Alhama-Campo de Cartagena) and RM-3 (Totana, Mazarron) although it has funded part of a private company, responds to the electoral promise of our current President Mr. Valcárcel for providing some access to the coast of Mazarrón and as Greek, so that Alhama not remain at a disadvantage to Totana, in deciding last time you leave the motorway to Mazarrón from our neighboring town.
Considering that this stretch RM-23 is the most used by all vehicles coming from Murcia city and other towns and provinces located to the northwest and therefore should have the same quality standards as a final termination of the the other two highways linking.
Whereas the work of this stretch of highway has suffered a series of problems in its completion due to lack of sufficient budgetary provision, having had to do it under any emergency and in improving the firm to remove the existing undulating stretch was worse.
Considering that the Director General of Highways told us in his recent visit to Alhama is foreseen to be implemented next year a better conditioning firm in one sense, because it occupies the old road MU-603, performance appears reflected in the draft 2009 Budget Law of the CARM in the item entitled "8783 Improved road drainage firm and former MU-603 T.
RM-2 to RM-3, 513D in the program planning and road network improvements, chapter 6.
Whereas there is also a budget called "Conservation and exploitation road 38219 3211, RM-3 and RM-23", part of which could be aimed at upgrading of this road to get her in a good state, as where there are major problems of undulations in the pavement is precisely in the sense of this pathway in which there are no plans to act, that is, running from the town of Mazarrón that of Alhama, and we understand it would be necessary to undertake a strong improvement in one direction or the other.
For all the foregoing, municipal groups UDeRM, IU-Greens and CDL Working Group, proposed to the Municipal Council of the City Council the adoption of the following:
AGREEMENTS
1.Solicitar to the Ministry of Public Works of the CARM inclusion within the budget "Conservation and exploitation road 38219 3211, RM-3 and RM-23" and 38783 Improved road drainage firm and former MU-603 T .
RM-2 to RM-3, Section 14 of the CCAA Budget for 2009, the fiscal adjustment needed to ensure that sufficient credit is entered in order to undertake repair work, replacement of the pavement of the highway RM- 23 in its entirety and in both directions, based on the arguments presented in the narrative of this Motion.
2.What are transmitted the same to the competent Ministry to empower the Mayor for the management of those steps are necessary to give effect to this motion.
