Irrigators Communities Totana, Alhama, Librilla and Sangonera la Seca, which represent the irrigated areas of the Lower Valley Guadalentín-day met last February 26, 2009 in Alhama de Murcia and adopted the following resolutions:
1 .- To support the demonstration on March 18 convened by the Central Union Irrigation Tajo-Segura and other organizations of the Crisis Committee against the Statute of Castilla la Mancha.
2 .- To convene a sectoral table with all political parties and organizations of all kinds of people in Lower Guadalentín (Totana, Alhama, Librilla Sangonera la Seca, Sangonera the Green, Sewell) for the sixth day of March of this year at 20:00 at the Culture House in Alhama de Murcia, to be attended by the President of the Central Union of Irrigation, Mr Don Francisco del Amor
3 .- convene emergency meetings and general all Guadalentín Valley irrigators, meetings that are open to the rest of civil society.
These meetings are fixed as follows:
March 9 .- Day to twenty hours in the halls of the service area of La Paz, near the highway from the Dry Sangonera Mediterranean.
March 10 .- Day to twenty hours in the Casa de la Cultura de Alhama de Murcia.
March 11 .- Day to twenty hours in the Community Irrigation Librilla.
March 12 .- Day at twenty hours in the socio-cultural center of Totana Jail.
4 .- Encourage through various forms of broadcasting to the entire civil society of the people of Totana, Alhama, Librilla Sangonera la Seca Raceway Sangonera the Green and to participate both in the events as the manifestation of the eighteenth day of March.
5 .- Report both in the media in the events and the possible adoption of the Statute of Castilla la Mancha and have huge consequences not only for irrigation but for all residents of our people, we have estimated one hundred and fourteen thousand souls that would be those that follow:
.- Immediate loss of 147,500 hectares of crops, unrecoverable.
Consequently we consider such an act an environmental crime and sentenced to desertification more acute in our populations.
.- Immediate increase in unemployment, estimated at 100,000 people, which ultimately and indirectly affect all of our neighbors to a greater or lesser extent.
.- Insufficient resources including drinking water and our industries must not forget that 2,000,000 people in the Region of Murcia are drinking, showering with water that comes from the transfer.
6 .- Defender far as we can our future that inevitably happens to maintain an infrastructure as the Diversion of the Tagus, which has driven the development of our people over the past three decades.
