The first containers buried in the town will be in operation next week.
This was announced Alfonso Fernando Cerón Morales, Councillor of Works and Services, this morning while performing a test to put in place.
The mayor explained that currently there are only three points with this type of container, opposite the Tourist Office, next to Circle of Worker Instructions and behind the Town Hall.
The three points will be operational on Friday 25 September.
Cerón Morales recalled that these containers are only for organic waste, which would be green bins.
Asked why the neighbors that the service is used properly and not leave some garbage bags or cartons without dropping into the container.
He added that this is a pilot project in the municipality and its results will depend on which to consider the installation of new containers like these.
The container has an easy-open door in which is deposited the trash bag that falls into the container when the lid closed.
An electrical system with remote control allows these containers to rise and can be captured by the collection trucks to empty.
The Department of Environmental Quality of the Autonomous Region launched a series of grants for the installation of underground containers in the towns that hosted the Alhama de Murcia.
Fernando Alfonso Cerón Morales, Councillor of Works and Services, noted this morning that, despite the fact that Alhama was the first to do their homework and have everything prepared, the containers have been put in place since that advice has not authorized until they were completed in all municipalities.
