On Sunday 21 March, the city of Alhama de Murcia and the parish of San Lázaro Bishop organized a cultural and religious trip to Caravaca de la Cruz, on the occasion of the "Jubilee Year", which was also attended by the Club of Guidance and Mountain Alhama, Alhama the custom motorcycle club and cycling club, along with other neighbors, so particular, had chosen this day to make the trip to Caravaca.
Thus, more than two hundred fifty alhameńos between the two thousand who had gathered that day, enjoyed the visit to the Museum of the Feast of the pilgrimage from the Church of the Basilica and Shrine of the True Cross entering through the gate called the pilgrims of St. Lazarus.
Despite being a rainy day a good atmosphere prevailed among the pilgrims, especially the walkers were met its goal of reaching Caravaca.
In the morning we visited the Museum of the Festival, which presents the collection of costumes of the Moors and Christians, as well as appliances and jewelry from the horses of wine, one of the main parties in Caravaca.
The visit was led by guides from the Museum's own ending with an audiovisual presentation on the holidays.
After lunch, the mayor of Alhama, José Espadas, the priest, Fernando Gutierrez, the Councillor for Culture, Juan Romero and the sports council, Fernando Alfonso Cerón they handed over the diplomas to the different collective entities such as partnerships or custom , hikers, Department of Culture, Sports, Church of San Lazaro, etc., and then turned over the certificates of each person's individual jubilee.
The return to Alhama occurred about quarter to seven as planned.
