On Monday, May 3, was taken in the Plenary Hall of the City Council, the awards ceremony of the Campaign "Security Grows" hand of Councillor for Employment and Local Development, José López Nuñez, Director of the Institute Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia, Tomás Pérez Fuentes and UCOMUR Manager, Sebastian Peñaranda.

The Occupational Health and Safety is possibly the most effective tool available to society in general and employers and workers in particular, to address the high accident rate and the high number of accidents suffered by the Region of Murcia.

It is therefore important to move the society at the municipal level, initiatives to strengthen the awareness and consciousness regarding the Prevention of Occupational Risks.

And in this sense, is the town an ideal environment for raising funds for a culture of prevention, awareness campaigns, training, information, etc.

From City of Alhama de Murcia have been developing outreach activities, information and training on occupational risk prevention aimed at different groups since 2000.

Therefore, in the last quarter of 2009 has carried out the campaign grows in Security "sponsored by the Department of Employment and Training, through the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, aimed at students in grades 5 and 6 primary school . The aim has been to bring the world of education the issue of risk prevention by designing and developing various training materials and conducting lectures in school for all students in these courses at all colleges of Alhama.
