The events commemorating the 20th edition of the Seniors Week began yesterday afternoon, Sunday May 23 at Municipal Auditorium with entertainment by the Trio Verbena Esperanza where several elders of the town enjoyed their music and dance .
During this act the mayor of the town, José Espadas and Senior Councillor, Soledad Tudela, they handed over the bands to the King and Queen of Elders of this year 2010, corresponding to the couple formed by José Ibáñez alhameña Berry and Mary Cifuentes Perez, elected by the jury, composed of members of the Advisory Council Senior Center and the King and Queen last year.
Also during the dance, there was a display of Manila shawls, where several women later received a gift from the City Council for their participation.
