Alhama City Council, through the Department of Women, has organized a course on "Training in the Care of Elderly and Dependents" which was inaugurated by the Councillor for Women, Soledad Tudela, yesterday morning, day 25 May in the business incubator of the town.
This course, with 31.5 hours and completion scheduled for June 4, will be taught by teachers Raquel Ortiz Martinez, BA in Psychology and Esther Mondéjar Santacreu, Social Worker.
Increased life expectancy and the increasing age in older people makes increasingly elderly population have a more aged, for this reason has increased the demand for qualified people to work in this sector.
The objectives of this course are:
- Describe the aging process to learn to detect and assess the problems characteristic of the elderly.
- Define the roles in the care of older people and / or dependent.
- To train the students to work in this area.
- Promote the incorporation of women into employment.
