This morning, the Councillor for Social Policy conducted a press conference where he reported that one of the priorities of the City Council, are the elderly, who although they have great social support, a significant number of people living alone, and that from the database of the Center for Social Services, there is no evidence that any have applied for assistance.
For this reason, we evaluate the need to approach these people and capture their needs in order to reduce the likelihood of social exclusion, isolation or loneliness.
This will be achieved through a study, in which one can perceive those cases in which such social, family or health not covered, implementing different protection mechanisms in order to diminish or extinguish the situation of need .
This project, funded by the Plan E, is designed primarily for people over seventy years of living alone.
In this sector of the population, first you will receive a letter that will tell you that in a few dates, a social worker social services center, go through your home, to complete a questionnaire and detect, firsthand the needs and demands that our elders have.
Also getting information from existing resources to reach everyone equally and with the possibility to intervene in cases in which a perceived risk or vulnerability.
