The Department of Education launches a new municipal initiative: Language Experience.
It is a comprehensive linguistic immersion project designed to respond to the social demands of language learning, as well as an asset for schools and their students, for companies and workers, as well as unemployed people.
In a first phase, it is aimed at the secondary education institutes of Alhama de Murcia and its students from 1st to 4th grade of ESO.
OBJECTIVES
- Support and raise awareness of the importance of a good level of language to students of public schools in the municipality, in favor of equal opportunities for our young people to access the training and employment world.
- Reinforce the teaching task of public centers with the implementation of a specialized educational service.
- Strengthen the contact and encounter between the students of the educational centers.
DEFINITE ELEMENTS OF THE PROJECT
- Acquisition and learning of the language from non-formal and informal education.
- Directed to different educational levels (primary, secondary and adults).
- Proximity and coexistence.
- Methodology based on free time pedagogy.
- Native and / or native level teachers.
- Leisure in English.
- Objective: Acquisition of language through coexistence, interaction and leisure.
Learning through the interaction between equals and native monitors.
In a simple and spontaneous way, through meaningful activities.
Methodological keys:
- Leisure as a learning space.
Program of attractive and motivating activities favoring the creation of situations that facilitate the learning of English.
- Environment: Open, leisure and sports facilities, tourist and educational accommodation.
Away from the traditional classrooms of academies and institutes.
Looking for peer interaction with native teachers at reduced ratios.
Recipients: adolescents and young people from 12 to 16 years old.
Groups of 15 adolescents per monitor / native.

• Saturday June 16 - 10:00 and 11.30 - Clothing Experience.
Place: IES Miguel Hernández.
Reuse those things you do not need at home and decorate your favorite clothes with fashion designer Claire Callaghan.
Deadline for registration: June 13.
• From Friday, June 22, 18:00 to Saturday, June 23, 20:00 - Camping Experience.
Place: Camping Espuña (El Berro).
Live an unforgettable camping day full of music and fun activities!
Deadline for registration: June 15.
All activities are free, except Camping Experience (which has an affordable cost per accommodation - see registration form for more details).
It is mandatory to fill out an enrollment form and a parental authorization to attend any of the activities.
