Alhama City Council will once again put the rainbow flag in support of LGTBI (lesbian, gay, transgender, transgender and intersex) people, a symbol of gay and lesbian pride since the end of the 70s.
This celebration takes place on June 28, the day that commemorates the unrest of Stonewall (New York, United States) of 1969, which marked the beginning of the homosexual liberation movement.
The initiative aims to sensitize, raise awareness and promote equal rights, freedoms and social recognition of LGTBI people and eradicate any discrimination.
