The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Autonomous Community, through a letter sent to this City Council, has denied aid through products for crops in the Alhama countryside damaged by the rains on August 16.
Through a letter signed by the Counselor transfer that there is no product for healing treatment or that the existing ones have limitations that make their use in the affected trees in our municipality unviable.
Since the Department of Agriculture do not share these arguments.
The mayor Antonio José Caja notes that "there are products on the market for the healing of these trees, the problem is that the Ministry did not act in the first 24 hours, which is when its use is recommended."
On Tuesday, August 22, the Ministry announced the delivery to the affected municipalities of 1,500 kilos of a product to cure trees and promote the healing of woody areas with the aim of preventing the appearance of pests.
Alhama was outside the municipalities to which they are going to provide assistance, so the regular plenary session held on August 28 unanimously approved to ask the Ministry of Agriculture that local farmers could access these grants with appropriate products for each Type of crop.
