The president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, attended the afternoon and mass procession in honor of the Virgen del Rosario, on the occasion of the patron saint festivities of Alhama de Murcia.
The regional chief executive highlighted the "effort and affection that Alhameños put in these days of festivities in honor of their Patron," and explained that "the regional government will continue to support their customs and traditions."
During his visit to the municipality, López Miras regretted that "the current Government of Spain has stopped in Orihuela the works of the third lane of the A-7 motorway", an infrastructure proposed by the previous Government from Crevillente to Alhama de Murcia, "and that the Alhameños and Murcia we need, that's why the Government of the Region of Murcia will continue to fight. "
