Six new business investment projects in Alhama de Murcia, worth 124 million euros and the generation of 290 jobs, are now in the portfolio of the Investment Acceleration Unit of the Institute for Development.
Some of these projects will be destined for the new expansion in 630,000 square meters of the industrial estate Industrialhama, a society of which the Autonomous Community is 83 percent owned.
The new industrial and commercial partial plan of Industrialhama, called El Valle, involves providing the area with new land to increase the number of companies already present, which currently reaches 120 companies.
The Minister of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment, Javier Celdrán, said that "we continue to work on generating quality employment and wealth for the Region as a whole." The expansion of Industrialhama will allow for new investments, such as the nine in which we are already working in Alhama ".
Likewise, of the investment portfolio in which the Investment Acceleration Unit works, four projects are currently being executed in Alhama de Murcia, with a joint investment of 56 million euros and the creation of 90 jobs.
Aid to companies in the municipality
On the other hand, a total of 31 companies have received grants from the Autonomous Community to develop investment projects in the municipality, which has allowed to maintain 813 jobs, in addition to generating 72 new jobs.
The Institute of Development has granted, since 2015 to the present, non-refundable grants of 2.17 million euros to SMEs that have generated investments amounting to 38.3 million euros.
Of the total of the 31 files financed by the Info, eight stand out that have obtained a subsidy of 1.6 million euros and have generated an investment of more than 37.5 million euros, which has allowed to maintain 186 jobs and generate 54 new jobs.
Likewise, companies have been advised and supervised for financing lines, such as the Reindustrialization and Promotion of Industrial Competitiveness program, where a company has obtained financing of 1.8 million euros for investments of 2.4 million;
as well as funds from the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), which has approved grants of 5.8 million for seven business projects with an investment of 3.3 million euros.
