The event will count as a sponsor with the writer Paco López Mengual and will be enlivened by the Symmetrical musical duo
The City Council of Alhama de Murcia, through the Department of Education, organizes the III edition of the Culture of Effort Awards.
A recognition that aims to reward the effort and perseverance of students throughout the school year 2017-2018.
The winners have been previously selected by the schools of the municipality in each stage (primary, secondary, baccalaureate and training cycles), and later ruled by a technical commission.
The best records are rewarded, but the personal effort of students in situations of disadvantage and their ability to excel has also been valued and taken into consideration, after a report from the teaching team.
This seeks to reward not only the intellectual capacity, but also the perseverance and effort.

This edition will have as a sponsor the writer Paco López Mengual, a native of Molina de Segura, author of novels such as 'La memoria del barro', 'Can I tell you a story?'
or 'El Cid graffiti'.
Born in a family of merchants, he studied teaching at the University of Murcia and currently runs a haberdashery in his hometown, an activity that combines with his literary work and collaborations in various associations and media, including La Opinión of Murcia.
The event will also feature the musical duo 'Symmetrical', formed by the Murcian twins Angela and Johanna, who seek to break schemes in favor of women by transmitting a message of equality in their songs.
Despite being 22 years old, the sisters have been dedicating themselves to music for more than 13 years, since they were finalists of the famous television show 'Veo Veo' by Teresa Rabal.
It was in 2015 when they decided to form the Symmetric duo, with which they have participated in numerous festivals and with which they have created a large number of followers in their land, Murcia.
