The mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Mariola Guevara, visited this morning the works of the 2nd and 3rd phase of the El Valle partial plan, in the Industrial Park of Alhama, along with the councilors of Industry, Antonio José Caja, and Infrastructure and Services, Antonio García, the manager of Industrialhama, Rafael Abad and responsible for these works.
The project includes the urbanization of the area where new companies have been installed, such as Cool Vega, Fruver Pack, Novedades Agrícolas and Fruveco and involves the opening of an articulating road that connects the land.
These two phases have some 60,000 m2 of plots available to accommodate new business investments, to which we must add the developments already carried out by companies such as Fruveco (50,000 m2) and Cool Vega (35,000 m2).
The works have involved an investment of around 1.1 million euros.
"The fourth phase is already in tender, until March 18, the deadline for construction companies to present their offers is open and the completion of the partial plan development of the valley, a work of 3.2 million euros, will be completed. with the old part of the Industrial Park, where most of the companies are located through the new road ", explained Rafael Abad, who highlighted that" the Polígono de Alhama has a strategic situation and excellent infrastructures, as well as a very good quality price ratio, we have the substation for companies that may need high electrical capacities, a double fiber optic telecommunications infrastructure to the door of the companies and we have included in this phase channeling natural gas. "
Manuel Lucas, director of these works, recalled that they represent "the expansion of all those actions that remained pending after the first phase: two roads have been made in the avenues of Europe and Switzerland, with their sidewalks, as well as half of the avenue of England -about 9,500 m2 of agglomerated road and some 5,000 m2 of sidewalk-, have been provided with services such as drinking water, sanitation and electrical networks ".
The councilman of Industry thanked the work done by Industrialhama, a public company in which the City Council collaborates, "we have always opted for this body as the best way to promote industrial land in our town free of speculation."
Caja has anticipated that the Consistory is working with this company to promote a new sector towards the Mazarrón area, which allows them "to continue generating land in the medium and long term and attract large investments to our locality".
The Park currently has about 130 companies that employ approximately 2,500 people.
"Since 2015 we have opted for this expansion and there is a new bidding process to continue expanding it, which means wealth for the municipality and employment for our neighbors," explained the mayor, Mariola Guevara.
