The organization adds 17 million euros of investment between 2018 and 2019
Procavi agri-food company, integrated in Grupo Fuertes, has concluded 2018 with an increase in its exports of 10 percent, mainly destined for Europe and East Africa, driven by the efficiency of its offer.
Procavi, leader in the turkey meat market in Spain, fourth in Europe and tenth worldwide thanks to its commitment to innovation, is still immersed in the modernization of its production processes, for which it is investing 17 million euros between last year and the current one.
These investments are destined to its meat processing center in Marchena, to increase the capacity of its feed factory in Carmona, (both facilities located in the province of Seville), to build the first phase of its new feed factory in Sierra of Yeguas in Málaga, as well as the expansion of several livestock centers located in the autonomous communities of Extremadura and Andalusia.
The company, which has a production of more than 156,000 metric tons of meat per year, closed the year 2018 with a growth in its turnover of 4 percent, standing at 277 million euros.
These are very positive results given that the production of turkeys in Spain is subject to high price pressure that manufacturers can not transfer to the market.
Procavi employs 1,887 people in its facilities, which represents an increase of 5.12 percent over the previous year, and its business activity generates 9,000 indirect jobs.
The organization develops a productive and environmental integral management system for its business activity that includes from the incubator plant, feed factories, multiplication centers, farms, quality control laboratory, processing center, or meat preparation room up to a sewage treatment plant, a plant for the use of by-products and another one for cogeneration that works with natural gas.
It develops its business activity simultaneously with its defense of environmental values, since it is committed to its environment.
