The mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Mariola Guevara, and the president of the local Merchants Association, Martín Cerón have signed a new collaboration agreement for an amount of 6,000 euros.
The objective of this agreement, one more year, is the defense and promotion of local commerce through the support and financing of activities by this non-profit organization.
With the money contributed, the Association may carry out those activities decided by its board of directors for the promotion, dissemination, recruitment of members and publicity of local commerce.
The Association of Merchants of Alhama currently has about 90 members and belong to it entails a fee of 6 euros per month.
Mariola Guevara explained that they will also start up "a few lines of aid for the modernization of local trade," whose bases and amount will be made public soon so that any interested trader can join them.
Nani Navarro has highlighted the advertising campaign to encourage trade in Alhama, launched since last year.
"The fact that trade is encouraged in our municipality depends not only on the municipality and neighbors, but also on the merchants themselves, taking their producers to continue making the difference with respect to the major commercial lines," he said, highlighting some advantages of the local commerce the proximity, the comfort and the personalized treatment.
