ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN renews its commitment as sponsor of the LIX International Festival Cante de las Minas de La Unión.
The president of the company, Tomás Fuertes, together with the CEO, José Fuertes, today signed this collaboration agreement and support for flamenco with the executive president of the Cante de las Minas Foundation and the mayor of La Unión, Pedro López, at the facilities of the company in Alhama de Murcia.
This initiative is part of the management of Corporate Social Responsibility activities, which aim to generate added value in the company by promoting sustainable development through social, economic and environmental improvement.
The International Festival of the Cante de las Minas of La Unión is considered as the main flamenco contest in the world.
In addition, this event has been consolidated as an activity of International Tourist Interest and has been recognized with the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts.
This year marks the LIX edition of the contest from July 31 to August 10 at the Old Public Market of the Union, which will bring together renowned artists of the flamenco scene such as Pasión Vega, Farruquito, José Mercé or El Pele, among others.
In addition, as in previous editions, the organization will carry out parallel activities including gastronomic days, seminars, courses related to flamenco and masterclass.
ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN and the International Festival Cante de las Minas share its international character, as well as its interest in the dissemination of culture through flamenco, an art declared Cultural Intangible Heritage by UNESCO, due to its attractiveness throughout the world.
