ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN has developed a project to replace more than 3,130 points of light in its offices and changing rooms, adapting them to the LED system, which has meant a decrease in CO2 emissions of more than 54 percent.
The new installed lamps, with a nominal power of 114kw, reduce conventional energy consumption by more than 49tep / year, as well as CO2 emissions by more than 200 tCO2 annually.
The project, which has involved a total investment of 83,000 euros, responds to one of the fundamental pillars of the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy of ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN, the commitment to the environment, which includes from the purification of the water used in the industrial process to its subsequent use as agricultural irrigation, until the production of clean energy through cogeneration.
Thanks to the implementation of this initiative, the company has managed to reduce the environmental impact of its business activity as well as reduce its conventional energy consumption.
The action has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the FEDER Operational Program 2014-2020 for the Region of Murcia, with 26,790.24 euros (total grant awarded € 33,487.80).
