The mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Mariola Guevara, and the president of the Prosauces Association, Immaculate Cobo, signed a collaboration agreement on Friday for 25,000 euros with the aim of financing expansion and remodeling actions at the Las Flotas rehabilitation center .
The agreement allows the hiring of direct labor, construction material, transportation expenses, the purchase of machinery and tools, indirect labor (quality control, construction managers, architects, etc.), as well as expenses derived from the hiring of cranes, forklifts or forklifts, among others.
The event has taken place within the framework of a day of living with family members, in which a new gymnasium and a complementary use room for this complex, made by the center's own users, have also been inaugurated.
In addition to the Mayor and the president of Prosauces, the president of the Fuertes Group, Tomás Fuertes, the psychiatrist Isabel Peñalver and the team of professionals working in this therapeutic community have also attended.
Several patients and family members have taken the floor to tell their experience and how they work in the center, accompanied by a video in which they have reviewed the activities carried out this 2019 through a visual memory.
Attendees have also been able to see the process of creating the new facilities;
Finally, two team members, Juan Antonio and Salva, have presented the music as an alternative to addictions, marking a chirigotero coupe and projecting the recording of a carol in which users participated, with the slogan "If you come with me you I help float. "
The Prosauces Las Flotas Association has been paying attention to people with addictions since 1992, through the rehabilitation center located in the Alhameño deputation of the same name.
Currently, it has an average attention span between 25 and 30 people simultaneously, a number that varies depending on the time of admission and discharges or referral to other resources of the different patients.
The center is located on a plot of 8,500 m2, with a landscaped area of 2,500 m2 and a building of approximately 600 m2.
The facilities are an old restored country house, which requires a series of renovation and extension actions that allow, on the one hand, to expand the number of places available by creating new rooms and, on the other, improving their quality and common areas for patient care.
