Alquerías Street has a new rainwater collector with a diameter of 800 mm in order to collect the water at the exit of the El Praíco watercourse in the Los Dolores neighborhood and direct them to the underground passage located on Antonio Fuertes avenue .
The works have consisted of the cutting and demolition of the existing pavement, the excavation of a trench 2.4 m wide and another 2.4 m deep, the construction of a rainwater pipe of DN 800 mm of PVC and placement in the ditch on a bed of sand, covered by the sand itself up to 20 cm.
The cavity has also been filled with artificial gravel, a reinforced concrete casket of 2x2 m and 3 m depth has been built, with a ductile cast iron passageway, log wells have been built and the chipboard has been replaced the surface.
All this in a length of 170 meters.
With a budget of 47,929 euros.
On Salzillo Street, there was continuous damage to homes with heavy rains, since the old network did not absorb a large amount of water and overflowed inside the courtyards of the houses.
In order to solve these problems, the old 60 mm fiber cement and 200 mm concrete sanitation supply networks are being replaced, instead a new pipe for drinking water of ductile iron DN 100 mm and another for sanitation of PVD DN 315 mm with its corresponding connections.
The works have consisted of the cutting and demolition of the existing pavement, excavation of ditches, replacement of the networks, filling of the cavities, installation of new connections to homes, construction of registration wells and replacement of the agglomerate and cobblestones.
The length of this work has been 45 m.
With a budget of 31,343 euros.
The Local Government Board, at the proposal of the Councilor for Infrastructure and Public Services, approved these two projects, written by the technicians of the City Council of Alhama de Murcia, who moved to the General Water Directorate to execute them.
