The proposal for the improvement of the image and the acoustics of the social premises, requested by the neighborhood association and the pediatric mayor, was one of the most voted in the latest edition of participatory budgets
The City of Alhama de Murcia, through the departments of the Treasury, Citizen Participation and Pedanias, has undertaken the replacement of the old interior roof of the teleclub in the village of La Costera.
A performance that was the initiative of the neighborhood association, along with the pediatric mayor, Benito Carrasco, in the past participatory budgets, obtaining a majority support from the voters.
The works have consisted of the disassembly of the existing continuous plaster ceiling, replacing it with a Minerval acoustic ceiling, including the provision of 50 mm thick mineral wool on it as a thermal insulator.
The emergency lights have also been renewed, and the old fluorescent tube luminaires have been replaced by LED screens, to contribute to the improvement of energy efficiency.
Carrasco explained the need for these works "the plaster was in quite bad condition."
The change has been made in a week in a "fast" and "professional" way, he said.
The neighbors have been able to release it this Christmas.
The total investment of this reform has been 4,293.08 euros VAT included.
The pedunal has also recalled the other two initiatives that have been approved in this latest edition of participatory budgets, one of them, already awarded, is the improvement of the recreational area of ​​the teleclub through a barbecue space and enjoyment of neighbors for carrying out various activities.
The other is the conditioning of a green road that crosses and one the district, taking advantage of the road expropriated by the desalination plant of Valdelentisco, so that the residents of the neighborhoods below (Los Carrascos, Los Paganes and Las Barracas) can reach the social center Walking, cycling or riding.
