During this week pruning and maintenance of palm trees are being carried out in the Plaza de la Constitución.
These tasks will expand, in the coming weeks, to other areas of the municipality, following the phytosanitary recommendations to carry out these works in the months of January and February.
In addition to the work of pruning, through this contract the company will perform other tasks such as the necessary treatment for palm trees and pine trees that suffer from periodic pests, the most important are the RED PICUDO plague on palm trees and that of the processionary in the pines (the latter will be removed and burned).
The plague of the processionary produces important damages, especially in the pines, being able to even attack cedars and firs.
The time when caterpillars create the pocket is as winter progresses to protect itself from the cold.
The damages that can come to create in the copy are important.
In total, 279 palm trees and 47 pine trees will be performed.
The economic cost of carrying out these actions is € 18,140.15 VAT included.
